The audit includes an accessibility scan with manual verification. The accessibility scan will identify many common issues that prevent those with disabilities from being able to easily navigate a website. If you need a full, manual accessibility audit, we can provide you with recommended service providers who specialize in full audits. An audit will typically be complete within one week.
The frequency of website audits depends on factors such as the rate of content updates, changes in technology or industry standards, and the level of competition in your market. In general, it’s recommended to conduct a thorough website audit at least once or twice a year, with ongoing monitoring and smaller audits as needed to address specific issues.
In some cases, we can fix the issues that we find in your audit. Though many issues will require back end coding that should be addressed by a developer. We will provide you with a breakdown of what you can fix, what we can fix, and what a developer will need to fix.
Many of the findings in a website audit can be pretty technical in nature. Because of this, we’d be happy to work directly with your developer to make sure the issue is clearly communicated, and we’re available to answer any questions they might have. We also pride ourselves in translating developer-speak into layman’s terms so we can all be on the same page.
